Our organization will spend its fourth Thanksgiving holiday hosting an event in the US Virgin Islands. In 2020 we held a feeding event during US Virgin Islands National Homelessness and Hunger Week. In 2021, with sponsorship and volunteer support from Northwestern and Vanderbilt University women’s basketball teams, we hosted the inaugural HOOPS AGAINST HUNGER event. Last year a highlight of the event was the Men’s Basketball team of Howard University engaging with the underserved in Market Square. This year we hope to have sponsorship and volunteer support from all of the St. Thomas community. During our 3rd Annual HOOPS AGAINST HUNGER, we will distribute food to the homeless in historic Market Square and Emancipation Garden. We are thankful to have The Ritz Carlton – St. Thomas as our primary sponsor again this year.
